CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE PROVISION OF RADIO AND TELEVISION BROADCASTING SERVICES – APRIL 6, 2023
The Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) is a Statutory body mandated to regulate the broadcasting industry in Zambia. Among the functions of the IBA is to grant Radio and Television broadcasting licences.
In this regard, pursuant to Section 20 (1) of the IBA (Amendment) Act No. 26 of 2010, the IBA now invites applications for the provision of Radio and Television broadcasting services in different parts of the country.
Below are the specified areas with the available number of Radio frequencies and Television spaces:

Requirements
(i) Cover letter
(ii) Filled-in IBA Application Form which can be downloaded from: www.iba.org.zm/applicationform
(iii) A Business plan
(iv) Commercial Applicants should submit a Certificate of Registration and Shareholders Certificate from PACRA
(v) Commercial Applicants should submit Curriculum Vitae (CVs) and certified copies of IDs for both the shareholders and beneficial owners
(vi) Community applicants should be registered Cooperatives, Faith-based or Non-governmental organisations that have been in existence for six months or more.
(vii) Community applicants should submit a Certificate of Registration from the Registrar of Societies with accompanying Constitution
or Certificate of Registration from PACRA (Limited by Guarantee), with accompanying Articles of Association
(viii) A programming schedule that reflects the nature of the station, and
(ix) A Non- refundable application fee of K3, 000.00 OR USD1, 000.00 for Landing Rights.
NOTE: All applicants who participated in the previous advert and are still interested in providing a broadcasting service need to re-apply. The old applications are invalid. However, these applicants will be exempted from the payment of application fee.

Application Instructions
(i) Indicate the area applied for on the envelope,

(iii) Submit three copies of the application.
