IBA WELCOMES NEWLY APPOINTED BOARD
LUSAKA, 19th February, 2022 – Management and staff of the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) wish to congratulate and welcome the newly appointed Board members.
The IBA Director General Ms. Josephine Mapoma is grateful to the appointing authority for selecting eminent professionals whose varied experience and capabilities will contribute greatly to the attainment of the vision of the Authority.
Ms. Mapoma is confident that the Board will be instrumental in ensuring that the IBA accomplishes its mandate of regulating the broadcasting sector considering that members are drawn from various professional fields such as media, human resource management, legal, Information technology and the clergy.
The Director General is also optimistic that the IBA is set to be an effective and efficient regulator that guarantees a pluralistic, diverse and ethical broadcasting industry in Zambia.
The new IBA Board of Directors includes; Mr. Chikosola P. Chuula, Mrs. Victoria Sombo Mupwaya, Mr. Oliver Kanene and Mrs. Elizabeth Mweene Chanda. Others are Mr. Mumbuna M. Kufekisa, Bishop Benson Banda, Professor Jameson Mbale, Mrs. Susan Z. Ndumingu and Mr. Makasa Lazarous Luonde.
Ms. Mapoma has since wished the new board members success as they discharge their noble duty of promoting a pluralistic broadcasting industry in Zambia through fair, transparent and effective regulation.
