Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Broadcasting in Zambia
The Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) has developed the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Broadcasting. The SOPs guide licensees on standards in programmes including sponsorship, advertising, fairness and privacy, among others.
The SOP is in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the IBA Act, which permits the Authority to establish guidelines and any other appropriate regulations for the development of the broadcasting sector.
All licensees are encouraged to familiarise themselves with this important document.
